CUPE Education in the fall and a reminder about NADC

 

The Parksville courses have just been announced:

Communicating CUPE – media relations and social media

Duty to accommodate: every worker’s right

Executive officers and strategic planning

The attack on your deferred wage – the real pension story

Steward Learning Series (Being an ally for equality; Creating an accommodation friendly workplace; Creating psychologically healthy and safe workplaces; Green action for stewards; Mobilizing members; Understanding mental health; What stewards need to know about collective bargaining; and, What stewards need to know about health and safety)

And a reminder about NADC Fall School – this year’s school will be held in Quesnel from Sep 28 to Oct 2, and includes:

Duty to accommodate (Sep 28 to Oct 2);

Retirement planning (Sep 28 to Oct 2);

Steward Learning Series (Sep 30 to Oct 2) including the modules Creating an accommodation friendly workplace, Creating gender equality, Representing members in front of management, What stewards need to know about collective bargaining, What stewards need to know about mental health (new!), and What’s our duty;

Recording secretaries (Oct 1-2);

and, Women breaking barriers (Oct 1-2).
