Over 300 CUPE Activists on Provinicial Committees

Every two years CUPE BC selects a variety of members to their committees. Names are put forward from our local, through our Northern Area District Council and by members themselves. The members are brought together for a meeting called OBCM ( One Big Committee Meeting ) where they get the basics of being part of a committee explained to them, break out into their committee and do a planning session for the committee and how they can support CUPE BC’s Strategic Plan. Future meeting dates are often planned as well. The following members were selected by CUPE BC for the specified committee.

Caroline Sewell represents the University Sector.

Vaunda Dumont represents the Aboriginal Working Group.

Dale Laluk represents the Technology and Communications Committee.

Helen Lapp represents the Library Committee
